think I'll stick to musicgroks there or regular telephone conversations. My first ever chat room-as this was my first forum. Imo, during brain development, the LSD should be minimal to none, my first trippin was at 21yrs old to 25. Dipped in the well once more on 12/31/89 then said "no mo".
Maybe I sound stoogie, but thats my opinion.
Look forward to seeing Max here again, not just talkin to hiself- his mom should be concerned

trippin is something everybody should do for a while - then never again - imo - I KNOW I could never handle it now that I'm older + wiser

I couldn't agree more. The "Room" is much better suited for simple, spontaneous conversations between two or more folks (especially if you don't have any other way of speaking with them). I see the room as a modern version of the CB radio: people shooting off stuff left and right with not real idea who its aimed at. But like the folks on the road, I usually leave it open and check time to time to see if anyone has checked in and might be looking for conversation.

And as for "ingestion", those days of mind bending are far behind me as well. Back then, when responsibilities were far fewer and the body was far more able to handle things, it was a blast and I'm glad I had the opportunity. But now, no way in hell. I have this vision of myself crouched in a corner with my checkbook and W-2's whimpering. Nope, don't need that. Hell, I do that sober.

I might go there again(LSD)but I'm actually paranoid for health reasons, i can't think of a crappier way of dying (heart, stroke etc) then when zoning. I'm trying to remember your picture, are you the one with the redhead gal at your side? if so, you're still young. I'm pushin 60 with a few friends dying around me. An LSD trip may implode my brain-lol

Nope, twasn't me. I'm over 40 and, as you may have read in some earlier posts, I suffered a severe head injury back in the 80's (in coma for awhile). I was dumb enough after I "recovered" to still persue the bright colors of the psychedellic, but now would fear going into a major seizure and never recovering. Not only dumb on a personal level, but would be very unfair to my wife and kids.

think I'll have to dig up the old- "who are you" posts.
But before i do that, are you the one with the shiny head standing by the lake?
had to put on my shades for that one... :)

Btw, I think 11/4/77 would be a great grok in the future!

Based on the huge success (personally, anyway) of the improptu Grok of last Friday, I agree about giving the show a full listen.

Nope, me and my cousin on Black Bear Pass (back road into Telluride)
Didn't have the "shiny head" back then (and its covered by my trusty Sox hat) although that is a different story these days.
